The Aesthetic Vanity was built from survival, creativity, pressure, passion, and vision.

What started as one woman trying to create a better life slowly evolved into something much bigger than beauty services. It became a movement built around identity, self-expression, artistry, and transformation.

I’m Brittany, also known as TAV, founder of The Aesthetic Vanity and creator of The Lash Underground.

Before the brand, before the clients, before the awards and trainings, life looked very different for me. I experienced homelessness at a young age, learned responsibility early, and spent years figuring out how to survive while still trying to dream bigger for myself and my family. I built this business while navigating motherhood, personal struggles, financial pressure, self-doubt, and the realities that come with being a self-made entrepreneur.

There was no perfect setup.
No investors.
No blueprint.

Just vision, sacrifice, consistency, and faith.

Over the years, The Aesthetic Vanity grew from a passion into a full creative universe. What began with lash services expanded into education, photography, branding, mentorship, product development, tooth gems, content creation, and helping others discover their own potential within the beauty industry.

But somewhere along the journey, I realized something important:

Everybody teaches lashes.
Nobody teaches identity.

That realization became the birth of The Lash Underground.


WHAT IS THE LASH UNDERGROUND?

The Lash Underground is the rebellious side of beauty.
The creative side.
The unapologetic side.

It was created for artists who never fully fit into the “perfect aesthetic” beauty world. The ones with personality. Edge. Emotion. Vision. The people who want to build a brand that actually feels like THEM instead of copying everyone else online.

The Underground represents:

WHY I CREATED THIS PLATFORM

I created this platform because I wanted people to feel seen.

Not just as students.
Not just as clients.
But as creators.

I wanted to build an experience where artists could learn the technical side of lashes while also learning:

  • confidence
  • marketing
  • self-expression
  • business mindset
  • finding their identity

Because skills can make you money.
But identity builds legacy.

Every training, campaign, commercial, photoshoot, product, and design connected to this brand carries a piece of that mission.
